Matthew 25 Ministry
A single mom & son need your help - please read below

Hello Small Group Leaders and Groups,
We are excited to share some really good news with you. Through our Matthew 25 ministry, we are preparing to welcome a mom and her son into our transitional home very soon. This is a sacred moment for our church family — a tangible expression of “I was a stranger and you took me in.” We wanted to invite our small groups into both the celebration and the practical preparation of this next step.
Why We’re Reaching Out
As we prepare the home, there are several items needed before move-in. Some of these items can be donated directly, while others are better handled through financial gifts so we can purchase them together.
The reason for this is simple and important:
Certain items (like curtains, rugs, towels, and other household essentials) need to be color-coordinated, sized correctly, and matched so the home feels warm, dignified, and truly hers — not a collection of mismatched leftovers. This allows us to create a space that communicates care, stability, and honor. Other items are perfect for direct donation, and we’d love for groups or individuals to take ownership of those.
ITEMS THAT CAN BE DONATEDLaundry Room
  • Washer and Dryer
Living Room
  • Lamps
  • 2 end tables
  • 1 coffee table
  • 1 couch
  • 1 love seat
Kitchen
  • Dinette table and chairs
  • Pots and pans, baking sheets
  • Plates, bowls, silverware, utensils
  • Drying rack
Child Bedroom
  • Toy chest / organizer
  • Twin-size bed frame
  • Hangers
  • Pillows
Master Bedroom
  • Bookshelf / storage
  • Hangers
Spare Bedroom
  • Desk and chair
  • Bookshelf / storage
  • Hangers
ITEMS THAT WILL BE PURCHASED (FINANCIAL GIFTS) Financial gifts will help us purchase coordinated items such as:
  • Curtains and rods throughout the home
  • Rugs and towels
  • Bathroom essentials
  • Cleaning supplies, toiletries, and initial groceries
These items allow us to prepare the home thoughtfully and consistently, ensuring it feels welcoming and well cared for from day one.

NEXT STEPS: HOW TO GET INVOLVEDTo help us coordinate well and avoid duplication, please reach out before donating or purchasing items.
  • If you or your group would like to donate physical items
  • Or if you would like to give financially toward the purchased items
Please contact one of the following:

Thank you for being a church that doesn’t just talk about loving people — but actually prepares a home for them. This is the gospel with furniture, towels, groceries, and open doors.
Grateful to walk this road together,
Matthew 25 Team

Small Group leaders - What is next?

We have finished the sprint and now are running the Marathon.
Quotes for the race...
"The miracle isn't that I finished. The miracle is that I had the courage to start."
"The only bad run is the one that didn't happen."

These quotes made me think of what God has called us to in leading others. Your group may be growing in size or it may have dwindled to a few, or even one. The key is to lead who God has put in your path.  Also, always be on the lookout for the invite opportunity.
I believe firmly that God will bless others with your faithfulness.

Isaiah 41:10
fear not, for I am with you;
    be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

The Mission & Vision

The mission of Central Church Small Groups is to build meaningful relationships with others who are on a mission to know God and/or are discovering God through
Fellowship, Discipleship, Worship, Evangelism, and Ministry
(FeDWEM).

The vision is to seek out, train, equip, and support small group leaders to build healthy small groups that fellowship, disciple, worship, evangelize, and minister together (FeDWEM).
